Two of my favorite teachers gave me the guiding principles behind every project I’ve ever made.
From grades two through eight, my art teacher, Mrs. Gibbs, reminded us to “make every brush stroke count!”
Years later, my screenwriting teacher at The American Film Institute, John W. Bloch, echoed her instruction with “make me care!”
Their words of wisdom have had a lasting impact on my life and work.
My projects have taken me around the world, been shown to CEOs and board members, sent to key customers, and distributed to tens of thousands of employees, students and professionals.
The reason: if you care enough to tell a story well, audiences will care, too. They will be informed, inspired and moved.
The daily application of my teachers’ influences have helped me make each project special and engaging. I’m very grateful for their wisdom!
